Blade Material: Tribal pattern mosaic damascus (1084 and 15n20) with a carved fuller, Nitre blued.

Handle Material: Opened gossamer 2 bar composite mosaic damascus (1080 and 406E), Nitre blued. Pocketed inlays are 18k reticulated red gold.

Liners are file worked and heat colored 15n20. Back bar is carved and Nitre blued 1084 with a 14k reticulated gold inlay. Subtle Aqua Regia-etched "cracking" effects accentuate the design. Hand fabricated bail from 18k reticulated red gold with a 14k gold bezel set AAA ruby. Individually hand turned and file worked 18k gold screws.

This is a sole-authorship piece, completed in March 2002
